RESTRUCTURE
RE:STRUCTURE SERIES
The era of ‘taking for granted’ has come to a close. It’s no longer allowable to ignore the vital systemic structures that support our lives. We must give our attention and appreciation to these operations so that they can sustain us into the future.
Re:Structure is a series of work that redefines the form of our daily objects to reflect the infrastructural systems that allow their use. Each piece embraces the normally hidden utilitarian nature of its inspiration and bring it to the fore. Whether that’s the concrete pipes which bring us water or the packaging that transports our food.

Pipeline CarafE & Fitting Cup
Pipeline and Fitting is a ceramic slip-casted carafe and cup inspired by the hidden concrete infrastructure that connects our homes to our water supply. Often we take for granted how available clean water is to us. Pipeline and Fitting use their industrial form to continue that mindfulness beyond the tap you fill them with. The carafe easily holds 1 liter of liquid and is dishwasher safe. The Fitting cups stack into the top of the opening for easy transport and storage. The carafe also makes a wonderful vase to hold flowers. Each cup holds 7oz. The cups cleverly stack both within themselves of the carafe for easy transport and storage.

Bushel Fruit Bowl
Bushel is a ceramic slip-casted fruit bowl inspired by food packaging. We buy fruit in our super markets year round without much thought to the fact that it’s shipped from all over the world to get there. Bushel’s form is derived from the containers that are used to transport them. Each circle holds a piece of fruit creating an extra level of organization that is extremely satisfying.

MANIfold Vase
Manifold is a ceramic slip-casted vase inspired by irrigation lines within agriculture. How we grow our food (and flowers) requires the massive redirection of water that must be sustainably used and dispersed. Manifold helps compose the flowers to display by creating three openings of different sizes. It looks beautiful with a full bouquet or a single stem.
